All about the bouake carnival
CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL HIGHLIGHT
Although the Bouaké Carnival has only been held in Bouaké every year since 1964, the various cultural, economic and social factors involved in the event make it a truly national celebration that calls for the involvement of high-level authorities, including mayors.
Bouaké is one of the largest cities in Côte d’Ivoire after Abidjan. The Bouaké Carnival was interrupted by the civil war before 2014, but has been held regularly every year since then.
